Mayla Joy Wind is a multidisciplinary photographer and designer.

She was born in 1994 and lives in southern Germany. She studied German philology and art history and holds a master's degree in theatre and media studies. Although photography is her primary medium of visual communication, she considers herself more of a creator—someone who doesn't limit herself to one medium. In addition to graphic design, she has recently taken up illustration as a new hobby. For her, the interaction between different types of media is the foundation for compelling storytelling.

Her theoretical background serves as a major source of inspiration for her creative work, and topics she has researched extensively often find their way into her visual language. In her work, she constantly strives to blur the boundaries between disciplines and opposites.
